My early conscious life was spent in an environment where all the things that used to be completely fell apart. The things that used to be were carefully selected then lost to the chaos of the human condition. There was no attempt to put the things that used to be back as they were nor to replace them with new. Instead there was a complete acceptance. All these things became so embedded into the plot and the setting they created simultaneous nostalgia and reality check. Someone had always intended to take the broken frames to the dump but instead they became flowerbeds, aquarium props and doorstops. When I create it comes from a place of broken intentions and reuse. I strive for my work to invoke the same emotions you feel when you see a well lived in home, full of mysteries and untruths.
